I’ve started the Fall decorating process and I must admit that each year I always think to myself I should decorate but get so busy that I end up with just a bare Christmas tree that stays in my house until March haha! This year I promise it’ll be different! Especially now that I have a baby I want to cherish every season and holiday and make every moment for her be amazing! The first place I stopped at for Halloween and Fall decor is Michaels of course!
I found the perfect maple leaf garland that gives out living room a sweet orange Fall hue and I can’t wait to fill our place with more Autumn amazingness. Linked below is each item! The candy corn brush bottle trees are a cute Halloween spin on those popular Christmas brush bottle trees and I love the candy corn beads that look like the real thing! I bet you could make some super cute earrings or jewelry with them. These tiny pumpkin lights are the cutest thing and I’m also curious as to the hue of these candy corn light strings. They must give the sweetest orange glow. I also need to get a set of these Fall leaf and pumpkin garlands to put around my apartment and these ghost figurines are the cutest thing. I also picked up this adorable purple Halloween ghost tree and it lights up with orange and purple lights! I am so excited for this season!

Well, for some reason I let my GoDaddy / jetpack / wordpress site go unrenewed and I lost my old blog! Thankfully I was able to save some old posts sans photos so those are living in my drafts at the moment and sometime soon I plan on putting them back up, but for now, I’ve been thinking about a lot of new ideas / habits I want to get into. I want to start blogging again, not like the occasional blog that’s very planned and edited, but I want a space to put down my thoughts, like what blogs used to be. Imagine this, a place where you can let your nerd flag fly freely. A place where you are transported to a comic book convention every Saturday (and Wednesday!). A place where you can find that toy you lost so long ago because your classmate or cousin stole it behind your back when you were kids and now the mere sight of it brings tears to your eyes. Well my friends, if this place sounds like what you’ve been looking for your whole life then welcome to the Frank and Son Collectible Show.If you are a collector of most things than this place will not disappoint. At Frank and Son there are dozens of vendors that buy and sell comic books, toys, baseball cards, sports memorabilia, Disney pins, video games, barbie dolls, Japanese imports, etc. It really is like going to the San Diego Comic Con but on a smaller scale with slightly better parking. Walking down the aisles is like walking down memory lane. At times I’ve seen barbies that I’ve grown up with in addition to collectible toys that were sold out as soon as they were released.
Most recently I’ve seen this gem and am kicking myself at this moment for not buying it on the spot. Hopefully when I go back it’ll be there:
In addition to the toys of your past, present and future, Frank and Son also hold signings for sports, TV, Film, and Comic book stars. Look who’s showing up next week!:
If you are a lover and collector of all things awesome you definitely have to check out the Frank and Son Collectible Show. Here’s the info you’ll need to get there:Address:

How many of you out there, like me, try to keep up with hobbies while trying to balance work and life!? I’ve always been a jack of all trades (Masterette of None, unfortunately) and am trying to slow down to enjoy the fun things in life. The next hobby I’m going to under take is sewing! I’ve signed up for my first sewing class (At The Urban Craft Center in Santa Monica, by the way. Jan 28th, join up and say hi!). I dream of making my own bags, totes, dresses and presents for friends. Hopefully work won’t pull me away from it so I can be a sewing machine (Ha!)!A few questions for everyone:What are your current hobbies or hobbies you want to learn? Are there any hobby that you’ve mastered and are pretty good at now?Any sewing learning tips?
